Woman in the Machine - taking over VISUAL, the behemoth former Braun factory and digital platforms features 50 original arts projects and the work of hundreds of artists. It will unfold through film, exhibitions, sound works, light installations, digital native events, a 360 virtual exhibition space, performances, talks and community engagement projects.

Included with this ticket:

  • Access the grounds of the former Braun site to encounter live performers and experience the film 72 Hour Lost Weekend film - created onsite.
  • Visit the exhibition including all commissioned works from Woman in the Machine, and the Braun archive at VISUAL.

Please note - due to Covid restrictions this ticket does not include access inside the factory at Braun. This is an outdoor experience, please wear weather appropriate clothing. There are no toilet facilities on site. We encourage attendees to walk to the site as parking is limited.

When visiting VISUAL please bring your own wired headphones to listen to the videos in the exhibition. This is in order to lower the risk of infection.

The over-ear type is advised, because they are better at blocking other noise. Only wired headphones will work, with 3.5mm jacks.

Inexpensive headphones can be purchased at the Reception desk. You do not need headphones for the former Braun factory.

Due to Covid-19 Government restrictions, capacity is limited to 15 people per time-slot, so early booking is advised.


If you are displaying symptoms of COVID-19, such as a fever or cough, or have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19, please stay at home. Visit for more information on COVID-19.

FACE COVERINGS All attendees over the age of 13 will be required to wear a face covering at all times.

PERSONAL PROTECTION Hand sanitisers will be located at all entry and exit points.

CAPACITY & DENSITY A safe distance of 2m will be measured and controlled at each performance with no more than a maximum of 15 audience members at any one time.

NON-CONTACT Upon arrival to the event all box office and sign in operations will be contactless.

Attendees are required to confirm they will not attend if they:

  • have symptoms of COVID-19

  • are self-isolating or restricting their movements

  • are waiting results of a COVID-19 test

  • have recently returned from travel abroad

Please follow Public Health guidelines including physical distancing and hand hygiene. Face coverings (as per public health guidelines) are mandatory on site unless food is being consumed.

Ticket re-sale will not be permitted for contact tracing purposes.

Individuals who do not wish to attend shall be requested to cancel their booking to release the tickets to general booking. Including individuals experiencing COVID-19 symptoms.
